R-03 Align title, snippet and page promise
Metadata should truthfully describe the page's subject and value. Engines can generate different titles or snippets; a supplied meta description is not a guaranteed display.

Why it matters
When the title, snippet and opening paragraph point in different directions, users click expecting one thing and find another, and they leave. Search engines may rewrite or ignore metadata that does not describe the page, and AI answer engines have a harder time telling what question the page answers.
Evidence to review
- Metadata export, live rendered page and observed search display where available.
How to implement
- Use a specific, readable title without stuffing or stale dates.
- Describe the actual offer and conditions.
- Check duplicate or inherited metadata at template level.
- Compare rendered content with the metadata promise.
- Review title/H1/body together under O-02; matching language across them can be appropriate. Do not rotate titles merely because a tool recommends another keyword.
How UltimateSEO checks this
Automated. A check in the scan sets PASS or FAIL for this control, and reports UNKNOWN or BLOCKED when its input is missing.
The check looks at: token overlap between title, meta description, H1 and first paragraph on every crawled page.
States used: PASS, FAIL, UNKNOWN, NOT_APPLICABLE or BLOCKED. UNKNOWN is never shown as a pass. How states work.
