Why it matters
When a page says one thing in its text and another in its video, image or markup, visitors lose trust and do not know which figure to believe. Search engines and AI answer engines read all of these layers, so conflicting prices, features or dates can lead to the wrong fact being shown or the page being treated as unreliable.
Evidence to review
- Cross-format sampling linked to a common fact record.
How to implement
- Identify shared facts and their source of truth.
- Check visible text, image labels, captions, transcripts and structured data.
- Queue corrections for stale high-traffic derivatives.
- Use dated context where older media cannot reasonably be rewritten.
How UltimateSEO checks this
Automated. A check in the scan sets PASS or FAIL for this control, and reports UNKNOWN or BLOCKED when its input is missing.
The check looks at: disagreement between visible text and structured data, for example an Organization name that differs from the visible brand or a telephone number present only in schema.
States used: PASS, FAIL, UNKNOWN, NOT_APPLICABLE or BLOCKED. UNKNOWN is never shown as a pass. How states work.
