R-08 Support important resources with contextual internal links
Important indexable resources should be reachable through useful navigation and context, not only listed in a sitemap.

Why it matters
Pages with no internal links are hard for crawlers to discover and give users no route to them. Meaningful anchors and hub to detail links also show search engines and AI answer engines how pages relate and which ones matter.
Evidence to review
- Inlink counts, contextual review and discovery crawl.
How to implement
- Compare the intended inventory with the crawl graph.
- Add relevant hub-to-detail and detail-to-related links.
- Use accurate, descriptive anchors that make sense in context; do not force keyword insertions or artificial anchor diversity.
- Review whether an orphaned page is useful before linking or removing it.
- There is no required anchor-diversity ratio or universal link-count target here. Repeated accurate navigational labels can be legitimate; review context and user purpose.
How UltimateSEO checks this
Automated. A check in the scan sets PASS or FAIL for this control, and reports UNKNOWN or BLOCKED when its input is missing.
The check looks at: orphan pages and pages with zero inbound links in the crawl graph, plus important pages deeper than three clicks.
States used: PASS, FAIL, UNKNOWN, NOT_APPLICABLE or BLOCKED. UNKNOWN is never shown as a pass. How states work.
